LIKE GOD ON EARTH

"And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth." Genesis 1:26

Of all of God's creation, He created man like Him so we could function and live like Him. Our living is never to be at the mercy of any situation but for us to be in charge of all. Just as a lion does not beg to roar nor does a dog beg to bark, we are not to beg to live our full potentials in Christ.

God has us made like Him in authority. Speaking about what God's authority's like, Ps 33:9 says "For he spake, and it was done; he commanded, and it stood fast." As God's word produces result, our words are supposed to because we are redeemed to be kings to God (Rev 5:9-10) and where a king's word is, power is available to execute it (Ecc 8:4).

Also, Job 22:28 says "Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee," and Mark 11:23 says when you speak to any mountain, they'll obey. You are like God in authority and are expected to use it! Speak and command.

You see, God is like a mirror that when you look at Him, you see your actual, God ordained self. The truth is, in understanding who we are, we must understand who God is. This is because Gen 1:27 says "God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them."

Not only has God made us like Him in authority, He has also made us like Him in position. Ps 115:16 says "The heaven, even the heavens, are the Lord's: but the earth hath he given to the children of men." The earth, together with all its wealth and resources, has been given to us to dominate (Gen 1:26).

Your authority covers everything - visible and invisible because you are seated with Christ in the heavenly places "Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come" (Eph 1:21; 2:6). Your position is higher than the devil's!

THE COMMAND TO GIVE
Text: Luke 6:38
By: Adeaga O. Favour

Giving is a covenant platform for receiving. It is a way to translate our desired expectations into manifestation. Luke 6:38 says when we give, it shall be given unto us in a greater measure. God's payment system involves first investing through giving among other things.

There are three ways you can project your giving which are upward, horizontal and downward. When you give upward, you go upward and when you give downward, you secure your position and immune yourself to going downward while being of blessing to those in your level is a horizontal way of giving.

Any man who desires result must avail himself of these channels. A farmer who sows automatically qualifies for a harvest. Your giving commitment at the moment may come with pains but the gains at the end cannot be quantified.

REFLECTION FOR TODAY:
Giving is the key to opening your channels of receiving.

PRAY:
Father, please let my giving produce bountiful harvests.

THE UNFAILING FAITH 2
Text: Hebrews 11:1-3
By: Adeaga O. Favour

To get Scriptural results, we need to go beyond just quoting the Scriptures to acting the Scriptures because it is the Scripture acted on that gets the result out. This is why James 1:25 says the doer of the word is the one that gets blessed.

For example, if the Scripture says you are healed and you actually believe it, why are still thinking of drugs or lying down for people to pity you, you've got to rise and act as though you are healed. After getting the command to come, Peter jumped out of the boat and actually walked on water!

What you've not acted out is what you've not seen. When you speak to any situation and don't doubt but believe the result is showing up, Jesus said you'll get the result, simple. Let's stop framing as if the word does not work, when we play our part, God commits to playing His own part.

REFLECTION FOR TODAY:
That the word didn't work for you doesn't mean it doesn't work, it only means you missed out something along the way, search and fix it!

PRAY:
Father, I receive grace for results in Jesus' name.

THE UNFAILING FAITH 1
Text: Hebrews 11:1-3
By: Adeaga O. Favour

Faith is key to Christianity, all of the things we do in the Kingdom is based on it. With it, for examples, we are saved (Eph 2:8); we receive our miracles (Matt 9:22); justified (Rom 5:1) and even connect God (Heb 11:6) among other things.

Faith is not just in the confession but in the expression, we don't just talk faith, we act faith. James 2:26 says "For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also." Every person that ever got listed in the Hall of Faith according to Hebrews 11 put their faith to work and didn't just talk it.

Until we get on the go for God, the signs promised according to Mark 16:17-18, for example, will never find expression. Unfortunately, we have so many talking Christians but few acting ones and not until we act what we talk or claim to believe, we will never see the manifestation.

REFLECTION FOR TODAY:
If the devil can't stop you from acting faith, he definitely can't stop your result.

PRAY:
Father, grant me the boldness to act by faith from henceforth in Jesus' name.

HOW TO GET MORE FROM GOD
Text: Luke 16:10-12
By: Adeaga O. Favour

Asking God for more things is good but knowing whether we actually qualify for it or not is key. God has no problem giving more to us, His challenge is often with how we handle the little He has committed into our hands in the first place.

God's principle of giving more is dependent on our faithfulness with what we currently posses. He does not entrust more to unfaithful stewards because His resources are too precious to be wasted. When you handle the little you have well, He give more.

It is foolishness to think when we get more then we'll do better and so, allow what we currently have to suffer. Nothing gets better until we have learnt to handle what we presently have faithfully. The same principle that helps us guides handle the little effective is what we need to handle more, so failure in managing the little points to failure in handling the much.

REFLECTION FOR TODAY:
Faithfulness in handling the little we have qualifies us for more from God.

PRAY:
Father, please forgive me in whatever way I have been unfaithful in Jesus' name.

REDEFINING YOURSELF 3
Text: John 1:19-23
By: Adeaga O. Favour

Lack of understanding of personal identity is what makes people want to be like others. Everyone is created in a unique way and with a unique assignment, so the best way to define yourself is in relation to what you are created to fulfill.

One important thing to note about yourself is that you are not a problem looking for solution but a solution looking for problems to solve. Jesus called you the light of the world and the salt of the earth (Matt 5:13-14), both of which are used to solve problems.

It's time you began to look past what you were or are to what you can and should be. A revelation understanding of who God is gives you the proper definition of who you are since you are created in His image and after His likeness. Who God is in heaven is what He has made you to be on earth.

REFLECTION FOR TODAY:
The more you know God, the better you understand whom you are created to be.

PRAY
I refuse to live below God's standard for my life henceforth in Jesus' name.

REDEFINING YOURSELF 2
Text: Acts 9:10-15
By: Adeaga O. Favour

It is easy for one who has failed several times to be called a failure by the world's definition but God does not see such like that. God does not address us based who we are but who we can be and what He has created us to be. This is why He could look at a murderer like Moses and call him Israel's deliverer.

If we are to describe Jesus' disciples based on what they did after he was taken, we probably would have called them traitorous disciples but when Jesus would call them, he called them fishers of men. Any man who defines you based on what you have done is only making the biggest mistake.

Once saved, your old life is passed. You become as a new born without a past (2Cor 5:17). This is why God could look at you and say "ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people," 1 Pt 2:9. Learn to always celebrate who you are now in Christ.

REFLECTION FOR TODAY
There is no future in your past, the cross crushed it and gave you a new beginning.

PRAY:
Thank You Lord for who You have made me to be in Christ.

OUR DAILY REFLECTION: 24-02-2017

REDEFINING YOURSELF 1
Text: 1 Peter 2:9-10
By: Adeaga O. Favour

How do you see yourself? Quite a lot of people have allowed their sense of judgement of themselves to be controlled by the world system while in actual fact, God did not design our life to be subject to worldly opinions and perception about us but solely by His view of us.

Because of the situation he was passing through, it became so difficult for Gideon to accept heaven's definition of him - a mighty man of valour. He gave God different reasons why the definition shouldn't be until God had to reconfigure his perception. What definition do you also hold about yourself?

Our present situations do not have to define us, God's word is full of a variety of great views heaven carry about us. It does not matter what you have done wrong and how terrible they may be, if God says you are a new creature, it means your past matters no more!

REFLECTION FOR TODAY:
Until you discover who you truly are in Christ, you will never live as God truly designed you to be.

PRAY:
Lord, please help me to understand who I am in You in Jesus' name.

DON'T BREAK THE HEDGE
Text: Ecclesiastes 10:8
By: Adeaga O. Favour

By redemption, every child of God, whether a baby of matured, have been given power that naturally positions them above the devil, all principalities and powers (Luke 10:29). Also, that you are born of God automatically makes you an overcomer (1Jn 5:4), and divinely secured from all attacks (Ps 91).

However, it becomes an aberration when you begin to fear or loose to what should fear or tremble at your presence. And the reason is not farfetched. Pro 28:1 says "The wicked flee when no man pursueth: but the righteous are bold as a lion." While sin gets you afraid, righteousness emboldens you.

More so, every act of obedience secures your hedge (Job 1:1,10) while disobedience exposes you to the devil's attack. In Exo 15:26, Moses told the Israelites that by the hedge of protection around them, if they obey, none of the sicknesses and diseases that befell the Egyptians would come upon them.

REFLECTION FOR TODAY:
God's responsibility is to secure you but yours is to maintain the security.

PRAY:
Lord, if I have broken the hedge around me in any way, please forgive me and rebuild in Jesus' name.

SECURE YOUR FUTURE 2
Text: Proverbs 22:6
By: Adeaga O. Favour

Every parent is first the role model to their children, whatever they do determines what the children learn. You can’t be telling your children something while you are doing the opposite, they will soon discover and think pretence is part of life thereby making them to pretend as well.

Whatever you have not seen in your child is what you have not inscribed in such. The first point of learning comes from home, it is a failure on the parents’ part when they push this responsibility to the child’s teacher in school or elsewhere.

Ps 32:8 says “I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye.” Training your children is about instructing, teaching and guiding them in the way to go. This means after you have told them what to do, you watch them do it.

REFLECTION FOR TODAY:
Paying the price today is securing a rest for yourself tomorrow.

PRAY:
Father, let my children know and walk in Your ways all their days in Jesus’ name.

OUR DAILY REFLECTION: 21-02-2017

SECURE YOUR FUTURE
Text: Genesis 18:17-19
By: Adeaga O. Favour

What you do with each day God gives you determines what becomes of your destiny eventually. In the same vein, what you do or fail to do over your child(ren) has an eternal consequence on such child. Pro 22:6 says "Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it."

Your children are your future, what you do or fail to do, the direction you show or fail to show them determines what their destination will look like. Not taking responsibility over them now is like opening your destiny for the robber to handle as he wishes.

Every single training you give your children is a major investment into their future. The societal challenges we face today is a result of the failure of parents to train their children yesterday. If any parent will ever enjoy rest tomorrow, such must endure the stress of child training today.

REFLECTION FOR TODAY:
What will become of any nation tomorrow is determined by what every parent does with his/her child(ren) today.

PRAY:
Father, please help me not to fail in my responsibility over my children in Jesus' name.

LOOK WARM OR LUKEWARM?
Text: Revelation 3:1-5-16
By: Adeaga O. Favour

Spirituality cannot be faked, it is either you are in totally or out, having a leg in and the other out is not permitted in the kingdom. While addressing the Laodicean Church, Jesus said they were "neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot," Rev 3:15. You see, there is nothing hidden about us to God.

There is no glory in lukewarmness neither is there any joy in looking or appearing warm when you have long lost your heat, heaven's categorisation method is either one is cold or hot. And if I may ask, where do you belong? What is your spiritual temperature like?

Jesus is not coming for a lukewarm church, he is also not coming for a set of believers who claim to be in the Kingdom but have their gaze and desire fixed on worldly things. The mandate is "If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God," Col 3:1.

REFLECTION FOR TODAY:
God takes no pleasure in warm Christians.

PRAY:
Father, give me oil in my lamp and cause me to burn for you in Jesus' name.

OUR DAILY REFLECTION: 17-02-2017

VISITING?
Text: Psalm 23:6
By: Adeaga O. Favour

How often does God desire you to be with Him but all you do is to dash in and rush out? A lot of us have become so busy with earthly things that heavenly things are becoming less important to us, our busy schedules are gradually taking our focus off kingdom activities.

After all his ups and downs and his struggle to get things done, God encountered Jacob and told him "Arise, go up to Beth-el, and dwell there," Gen 35:1. If only we know that many of the things we run after can cheaply be gotten in God's presence, we probably would have learned to dwell more with God.

Do you only visit Bethel or you dwell there? Ps 91:1 tells us only those who dwell in God's secret place will abide under His shadow. Learning to dwell in Bethel guarantees protection in time of trouble and divine lifting (Ps 27:4-6), among other things.

REFLECTION FOR TODAY
Are you a dweller or only a visitor in God's presence?

ACTION:
Review your daily activities and prayerfully ask God to help you dwell in His presence always.

DIVINE EXCHANGE
Text: 2 Corinthians 5:19-21
By: Adeaga O. Favour

In the movie, life for life, there was a twin who gave his all to God, but his brother was the opposite. While the committed brother would preach to his twin, the twin in return would molest him until a day he went for a night party, got drunk and eventually killed with blood stains on his cloth.

The police went after him and when he got home, he managed to explain to his brother and he, who already knew if his brother died would go to hell, had to exchange his clean dress for the brother's stained cloth so that when the policemen came, he was taken for the murderer. At the court ruling, he was sentenced to death.

This paints the exact picture of what Christ came to do for you and me, he knew if we die in our sins we would perish and so, he took our place, paid the price that we may live. The ransome has been paid but the gift of salvation has to be received.

REFLECTION FOR TODAY:
Christ took your place in death so you can live and enjoy abundant life.

PRAY:
Thank you Jesus for the price you paid for me, I receive eternal life afresh in your name.

GOD OR GOLD? 2
Text: Matthew 6:33
By: Adeaga O. Favour

God or gold, what’s more important to you? As much as anyone will jump on the option of picking God, it’s important to pause and conduct a priority test on ourselves. It is possible we confess and sing God songs always while within, we value the gold more than God.

Silver and gold belongs to God but when we become more interested in the material things more than God, then there’s problem. Divide your time each day into 4, how many hours go to God, your work, family and leisure? Whatever takes most of your time determines what’s most important to you.

The secret to having gold laid up like dust is not in much labour or the time invested in pursuing material things but in seeking God and His kingdom (Matt 6:33). When you learn to go for God, the gold will come for you.

REFLECTION FOR TODAY:
When you learn to go for God, the gold will come for you.

PRAY:
Father, please take the first position in my life from today in Jesus’ name

OUR DAILY REFLECTION: 14-02-2107

GOD OR GOLD? 1
Text: Matthew 6:33
By: Adeaga O. Favour

Everyone wants the best. No one will see what is good and go for the bad. Even God designed us for the best and He’s also got good thoughts for us (Jere 29:11), and there’s also provision for the actualisation of our expectations from His agenda (Pro 23:18).

But then, what is your expectation tilted towards? We are not designed to be slaves to material, perishable things and also, God did not create us because of what we will get from Him but what we will do for Him; He created us to worship and show forth His praise (Isa 4:21).

What is your priority, God or gold? Jesus warned in Matt 6:24 that “No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.” When your attention is divided, your service to God becomes affected.

REFLECTION FOR TODAY:
God didn’t create you because of what you will get from Him but what you will do for Him.

PRAY:
Father, whatever is taking my attention from You, I give them up in Jesus’ name.

ABIDE
Text: John 15:1-5
By: Adeaga O. Favour

No matter how fruitful a branch can be, once detached from the tree, it withers by time. Also, the relevance a branch enjoys is rooted in its continuous attachment to the tree. Every one of us is only productive to the level we are connected to Jesus.

Our life is not programmed to function independent of God, no and if it does, it will only malfunction. Jesus said "As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me," Jn 15:4

God's joker card for a productive life is simple - abide. Your commitment to remaining attached to the vine is what guarantees a continual flow of divine resources for your life. Show me a flourishing life and I will show you a life rooted in Christ.

REFLECTION FOR TODAY:
How rooted you are determines how productive you will be.

PRAY:
I cut off today whatever may want to cut me off from the Vine in Jesus' name.

STRENGTH FOR THE WEAK
Text: Joel 3:10
By: Adeaga O. Favour

In Christ alone is our completeness guaranteed. He alone can look at a feeble thing and turn it into a mighty host, and out of a foolish thing command wisdom. By leaning on him, strength can be made available for all our weaknesses (Phil 4:13).

Weakness can manifest in various forms including financially, spiritually, physically and emotionally and from today's text, we are told something to do - speak our way into strength. "But how?" You may say. Confess God's strength and you have it manifest in your life.

No matter your current level, out of your plowshare can come a sword and out of your pruninghook, a spear can emerge. Like Samson said, sweetness can come out of your strong (Jdg 14:14), and based on 2 Cor 12:10, you can also declare that when you are weak, then you are strong.

REFLECTION FOR TODAY:
God's strength is available to help overcome the days of weaknesses.

PRAY:
I receive God's strength for all my weaknesses in Jesus' name.

CURE FOR A FAULTY FOUNDATION
Text: Psalm 11:3
By: Adeaga O. Favour

No matter how faulty a foundation is, there is a cure in Jesus. Irrespective of how bad things may be, when you come to Jesus, he is able to mend it. Jere 18:4 says "And the vessel that he made of clay was marred in the hand of the potter: so he made it again another vessel, as seemed good to the potter to make it."

Jesus is able to rework whatever is marred so that it radiates a new order of glory. Imagine Abraham from a foundation of idolatry, for example, God called him out, worked on him and he became the father of faith so that the saviour of the world came through him.

The good news is God says Isa 54:11 that "O thou afflicted, tossed with tempest, and not comforted, behold, I will lay thy stones with fair colours, and lay thy foundations with sapphires." Wow! As God works on you, He promises to do it on a bigger and better level, so, if you call upon Him today for help, be sure He'll.

REFLECTION FOR TODAY:
If the foundation be destroyed, the righteous can cry to God.

PRAY:
Father, make my foundation anew.

OUR DAILY REFLECTION: 08-02-2017

THE FOUNDATION
Text: Psalm 11:3
By: Adeaga O. Favour

The most vital part of any structure is the foundation, yet it is not seen once the building is raised. The structure to be erected determines the kind of foundation to be laid, and any fault in the foundation automatically alters or affects the building.

Every life as a structure is built on a foundation, the kind of foundation each has affects the outcome of each life. For example, as no one can build a storey building on a bungalow foundation, no matter how a man tries, he can't produce result beyond the dictates of his foundation.

What is in your foundation, what foundation does your life operates on? The foundation the forefathers of some people laid is the cause of their predicament (Lam 5:7) and until it is corrected, nothing good will ever emerge from such family lineage.

REFLECTION FOR TODAY:
A faulty foundation will produce a faulty destiny.

PRAY:
Father, every limitation in my foundation, please destroy it. Work on my foundation and set me free.

 DIVINE STRENGTH
Text: Psalm 33:16-19
By: Adeaga O. Favour

A weak man is limited in his activity compared to a strong person who has the tendency of greater productivity. But then, how would you define a weak or strong man? The weak, by man's standard, is one limited by strength while the strong person is the opposite.

But Biblically, the strong man is one who, though physically weak, has learned to lean on God's ability while the weak man is the physically strong who ends up exhausting strength after much labour. Isa 40:30 tells us the youth known for strength faint eventually while Phil 4:13 says through strength from Christ, one can do all things.

The Psalmist understood this principle that he said "There is no king saved by the multitude of an host: a mighty man is not delivered by much strength," Ps 33:16. Top connections and great strength do not guarantee success, total dependence on God is the key to a lasting relevance.

REFLECTION FOR TODAY:
Every human is limited, only God remains unlimited.

PRAY:
Lord, I receive grace for an absolute dependence on You in Jesus' name.

MAKING THE WORD WORK 2
Text: Luke 5:4-6
By: Adeaga O. Favour

What you believe in is what works for you, so, until you learn to believe God's word, it doesn't work. From today's reading, another important thing that can make God's word to work is obedience. Peter had the option to either launch his net again after several attempts or refrain from doing so.

All of God's blessings are accessible on the platform of obedience. Peter obeyed the instruction and he got a net breaking result. See, anytime you disobey, you deny yourself access to the provisions imbued in the instruction. A simple act of obedience can terminate a long night of fruitless effort. Obedience positions you for the promised blessing.

The proof of an obedient life is in the corresponding action taken. Peter said "Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing: nevertheless at thy word I WILL LET DOWN THE NET," Luke 5:5. God's word is not just for recitation sake but to be acted upon.

REFLECTION FOR TODAY:
To get the wonders of God's word, do whatever it says!

PRAY:
Lord, baptise me with the Spirit of obedience.

MAKING THE WORD WORK
Text: Luke 5:4-6
By: Adeaga O. Favour

God's word operates like an orange, if you don't suck or squeeze out the juice, you don't get the best of it. Heb 4:2 says "For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it."

Faith activates God's word to work in whatever situation it is administered. Little wonder Mark 9:23 tells us that to anyone who believes, all things are possible. If the devil can make you doubt God's word, then he can make you miss out in God's move through His word.

All that the word has for you are delivered on the platform of faith. For example, after their encounter with the word made flesh, the blind men got their healing because of their faith (Matt 9:29-30). When you lay hold on the word, dare to believe and the proof shall be visible for all to see.

REFLECTION FOR TODAY:
The level to which we believe God's word is the level to which it works for us.

PRAY:
Lord, please deliver me from unbelief and grant me the Spirit of faith.

WHEN GOD SPEAKS
Text: Psalm 107:20
By: Adeaga O. Favour

God does not speak for the fun of it, whenever He speaks, there is always a purpose in mind. As rain does not fall without achieving a result, so God's word does not go forth without accomplishing the purpose for which it was sent (Isa 55:10-11).

After Peter had toiled all night and caught nothing, God's word came forth, terminated his fruitless effort and delivered a net breaking miracle unto him (Luke 5:4-6) and after much waiting, Sarah's 25 years barrenness was terminated (Gen 21:1-2).

At His word, the formless, empty earth got shapened, filled with precious things and illuminated (Gen 1:1-3). God's word can terminate confusion and give direction, bring deliverance and settle every area you desire an intervention. God's word will locate and produce result in your life henceforth in Jesus' name.

REFLECTION FOR TODAY:
God's word delivers exactly as God would have done if He were physically present.

PRAY:
Father, speak a word into my life in Jesus' name.

GOD ALSO HAS TIME
Text: Galatians 4:1-5
By: Adeaga O. Favour

If you were to be Abraham and you had to wait that long before God eventually answered your prayer, would you have said He came late? God does not come late, He is always working out things in the interest of His children.

Take for an instance, when you put your money in fixed deposit account, you don't have access to it until the time fixed is matured or ripe. As much as it is good to set specific time for answers, we must also understand that God's timing is different from ours.

Rom 8:28 says "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose." Never let the devil deceive or discourage you that God refused to answer your prayer, it may only be that the time is not ripe yet.

REFLECTION FOR TODAY:
God does things only that we give deadlines ahead of His own time.

PRAY:
Father, help me to learn to wait for Your timing for my life in Jesus' name.

MEETING THE GOD BETHEL 3
Text: Genesis 35:1-2
By: Adeaga O. Favour

In the last two posts, we have seen that encountering the God of Bethel is not automatic, there are specific demands that must be met which are putting away the gods (whatever stands between us and the true God) and becoming clean which has to do with holiness.

More so, another critical instruction Jacob gave his household was to change their garment. Dear, what are putting on? Our dress speaks about who we are. Little wonder, before the father could accept the prodigal son back as his child, they had to change his garment (Luke 15:22).

Are you not clothed with gossip, malice, anger, fighting, covetousness and so on? Job confidently said in Job 29:14 that "I put on righteousness, and it clothed me," and Ps 132:9 also says "Let thy priests be clothed with righteousness." What you put on can attract or repel the God of Bethel from meeting you.

REFLECTION FOR TODAY:
The way you are dressed determines the way heaven will address you.

PRAY:
Father, whatever is denying me of Your presence, I put them off now in Jesus' name.

MEETING THE GOD OF BETHEL 2
Text: Genesis 35:1-2
By: Adeaga O. Favour

We can't hold on to the things of the world and expect to get what the Father has for us. The God of Bethel is the God of encounter, yet will He not show up until we are willing to forsake those things that can impede the free move of His presence in our lives.

Apart from putting away the strange gods, Jacob went on to tell his household to be clean. Holiness is the lifestyle of God, all of His attributes are hinged on His holiness. Little wonder Heb 12:14 says without it, no man is qualified to see God.

What defiles you? What works of the flesh still operate in your life that robs you of an encounter with the God of Bethel? His instruction is "Be ye holy; for I am holy," 1Pt 1:16 and based on 2Tim 2:19, we understand that His foundation of holiness stands sure, hence everyone's need to depart from iniquity.

REFLECTION FOR TODAY
God's children share the same attribute with YHim - holiness.

PRAY:
Lord, please cleanse me of whatever robs me of Your presence.

MEETING THE GOD OF BETHEL 1
Text: Genesis 35:1-2
By: Adeaga O. Favour

It is quite unfortunate today that our level of reverence for God has degenerated to an insulting state that, to many, anything goes in God's presence. No! It's a lie of the devil. There are demands that must be met before God would be seen of anyone. God is easy to get once the criteria are met.

The instructions Jacob gave his household is still valid till today if we will see God and experience His move in our midst. Strange gods will always stand against our encounter of the true God. "But I don't have any god," you may say. Hmm, but whatever takes the most important place in your life becomes a god to you.

Can you sacrifice your money, time, comfort, and other resources for God's sake without holding back anything? Whatever stands between you and a genuine worship of God is your god and must be put away. The God of Bethel is a jealous God, His instruction is, "Don't worship any other god beside me."

REFLECTION FOR TODAY:
God is near to those who have surrendered their all to Him.

PRAY:
Father, whatever is taking Your place in my life, I give them up now in Jesus' name.

WINNING THE RACE 2
Text: 1 Corinthians 9:24-25
By: Adeaga O. Favour

As much as we must appreciate God for the grace available to run the race, we must also note that there is always a price to pay in order to get the prize. Apostle Paul, in his own words said, "I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection," 1 Cor 9:27 and in 1 Cor 6:12, he said "All things are lawful unto me, but all things are not expedient."

Every one of us must be able to differentiate between what is useful and what is needful for our journey. That something is good does not make it right. We don't have to be held in the web of others' actions and use as yardstick for ours because what is good for them may not be right for you.

Jesus said "And whosoever doth not bear his cross, and come after me, cannot be my disciple," Luke 14:27. The cross is not a palatable thing but then, it is compulsory for every true disciple to carry. Remember, no price is too big to pay to get this golden prize from the Master.

REFLECTION FOR TODAY:
Dying daily to self and sin imprints eternity in our heart and establishes God's kingdom in us.

PRAY:
Father, please make me fit till the end on my race on earth.

WINNING THE RACE
Text: 1 Corinthians 9:24-25
By: Adeaga O. Favour

No athlete pays a great price, punishing himself everyday and giving himself sleepless nights practicing just because he wants to do it for fun; there is a goal ahead of him and that is to win the prize. That is the motivation behind all the trainings he engages himself in.

Christianity is a race everyone who claims to be a follower of Christ engages in. Heb 12:1 admonishes us to run the race set before us, so whether you are set or not, conscious of it or not, as long as you claim to be for Christ, you are also engaged in the race.

But as much as we all are in the race, not everyone will get the prize! What's your motive and what price are you paying to wear the crown? Christianity is not a bread and butter thing, it is a serious business with a high demand and your determination to give it all it takes places you on the pedestal to get the crown.

REFLECTION FOR TODAY:
With the way you run your Christian race, do you think you will qualify for a crown?

PRAY:
Father, please help me not to miss it at the end of my race on earth.

OPEN SECRET
Text: Mark 4:21-22
By: Adeaga O. Favour

What if someone secretly records what you do in your closet and think in your mind and plays it for people to see or listen to, would you be proud to have done them? Our true selves are not what men see in the public but what we do when no one is there to caution or put us on a check.

Jesus made it known to us from today's reading that everything we do in the secret, soon or later, would be unveiled for the world to see. We do not have total control of our life, whatever we do, think and say will all be accounted for someday. And when the day comes, what report would you give?

Living every moment of our life as if Jesus would come at that time is a major way to help live right. The little lies you speak, adjustment in the measurement you use to sell, illegal usage of light, padded quotations and so on will all be accounted for someday. Would you rather make amends before that day comes?

REFLECTION FOR TODAY:
Whatever you do and are afraid of a third party is against God's will.

PRAY:
Lord, in whatever way I am defaulting, help me to make amends in Jesus' name.

SUFFICIENT  GRACE 2
Text: 2 Corinthians 12:8-10
By: Adeaga O. Favour

Youths are known for strength and zeal but Isa 40:30 says they "shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall." In running the race of life, human ability does not count, only God's grace can keep one to the finishing line.

There is also a grace that makes a man and brings him to the fullness of what God would have him be. This Apostle Paul tapped into before he later said "But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain," 1 Cor 15:10.

You can't go beyond where grace carries you. And the good news is grace is available for everyone to tap into. Heb 4:16 says "Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need."

REFLECTION FOR TODAY:
Grace is all you need for the race set before you.

PRAY:
Father, I receive a fresh baptism of the Spirit of grace in Jesus' name

SUFFICIENT GRACE
Text: John 5:2-9
By: Adeaga O. Favour

My wife and I got discussing recently and she said there must have been a grace that sustained Jesus in the face of all the troubles he went through on his way to the cross such that he didn't back out, and I quite agreed with her.

When he became weary and about giving up, Luke 22:43 says about Jesus that "there appeared an angel unto him from heaven, strengthening him." The strength to accomplish one's assignment can be supplied through grace because grace is like a lubricating oil that keeps us going despite all odds.

After much prayers to take the thorn in his flesh away, Paul confessed that God told him "My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness," 2Cor 12:9. When grace is at work, our weaknesses notwithstanding, is covered us so that God's strength is all that is seen in us.

REFLECTION FOR TODAY:
When your strength seems to be failing, hanging on grace is of importance.

PRAY:
Father, I receive a fresh baptism of the Spirit of grace in Jesus' name.

SUSTAINING YOUR MIRACLE
Text: John 5:2-9
By: Adeaga O. Favour

Whatever God does remains forever, provided we play our part in the sustenance of those things. Understanding that the devil has a three fold assignment - stealing, stealing and destroying, Jesus told the man to "sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto thee," Jn 5:14.

Sin opens a man to satanic attack because it is a cheap tool for breaking the hedge around us. A life of sin is a toy in the hands of the devil. This is one reason every believer is expected to be watchful always as the devil is ever on the move seeking for whom to devour (1Pt 5:8).

If you don't allow sin, the devil has no entry into your life. Sin creates cracks in the wall of your life, marriage, finance and so on which eventually grants the devil access into you. When holiness becomes your watchword, satanic activities come to a halt in and around you.

REFLECTION FOR TODAY:
The best way to secure your miracle is to stand against sin always.

PRAY:
Father, the grace to live a holy life in this corrupt world, I receive in Jesus' name.

ENJOYING DIVINE LEADING
Text: Psalm 32:8-10
By: Adeaga O. Favour

When you are on a route that you have no understanding of, a guide becomes inevitable if you still desire to get to your destination. Every new day is synonymous to this unknown route, hence, our need for a guide.

Thanks be to God who has not left us without a Guide. Before leaving for heaven, Jesus said "I will not leave you comfortless," Jn 14:18 and in verse 26, he went on to say "But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, HE SHALL TEACH YOU ALL THINGS."

To benefit from the ministry of our Guide, obedience is key and trusting in His leadership capacity. Isa 30:21 says "And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left."

REFLECTION FOR TODAY:
Everyday is part of the route to you destination, to get there, allow the Guide to lead you.

PRAY:
Holy Spirit, please lead me on to my destination in life and ultimately to heaven in Jesus' name.

FIT FOR YOUR ASSIGNMENT

If you are to choose your race, complexion, family, sex, stature etc, what would you choose? Would you rather remain who you are or choose to be another person?

What most of us do not understand is that the best we could be is what God has made us. Shocked? When God was about sending us into this world, He first determined what we would do and then, what we would do dictated how we would look like. It is an ignorance of purpose that makes us desire to be someone else instead of what/who we are.

That you are physically challenged, slim or fat, tall or short, ‘shapeless and not beautiful’ as you may say, are not reasons for living below your potentials. Until you discover what you are meant to do, you will never appreciate why you are like that. Every time you complain about yourself, you are only displaying your ignorance of purpose and telling God He is not perfect in His work.
When you know what you are meant to do on earth, you will better appreciate how you look like because if you had not been who you are, you probably would not have been able to carry out what you were ordained to do. So, tell yourself you are custom-made for your assignment and the best you can be is who you are now.
Let your assignment motivate you and consume you to the level you care less about what people and more about what you are doing, and sooner than you expect, those who laughed at you will soon come to appreciate you for who you are.

COME AND DRINK
Text: John 7:37-38
By: Adeaga O. Favour

If you have not been thirsty, you will not appreciate what it means to have a cup of water. When all hope had been lost and everyone, probably, was on his way home, the Scripture records that Jesus stood and cried that if anyone was thirsty, they should come and drink.

Our thirst may be different but the water that will quench each thirst flows from the same source. Your own thirst may be another child, a new job, a raise in your place of work, another source of income, a write-off or payment of your debt, a car of your own and on the list goes. But no matter what it is, there is water for you.

A man who has bucket of water can't meet as much needs as one who has a well not to now talk of the one who is the fountain of water. The water men gives guarantees a come back but the water that will forever quench your thirst can only be found in Jesus (Jn 4:13-14), this is why he needs you to come and drink today.

REFLECTION FOR TODAY:
Only Jesus has the water that quenches all thirsts.

PRAY:
Lord Jesus, please give me the water of life so that I thirst no more.

BEWARE OF JUICY OPPORTUNITIES
Text: Judges 4:17-21
By: Adeaga O. Favour

Not all good things come from God but all good and perfect things are from Him. When things are going so smoothly, for examples, more pays from different angles, accelerated raises from work, some time, you need to pause to confirm if God is in them all.

At the time when God would have His children leave Egypt and serve Him, Pharaoh commanded "Let there more work be laid upon the men, that they may labour therein; and let them not regard vain words," Exo 5:9.

Knowing well that Satan, always, does not want us to do God's will, he sets baits in form of juicy things to get our attention off what God's asking us to do and as Paul encouraged that we be not ignorant of the devil's devices (2Cor 2:11), we must constantly be on the watch, sensitive so we don't miss out.

REFLECTION FOR TODAY:
Not all that glitters is gold

PRAY:
Father, I receive grace to be watchful and sensitive in all things.

OUR DAILY REFLECTION: 16-01-2017

COMMIT GOD
Text: Genesis 22:11-18

Believers don't operate by world's system but by Kingdom principles. God's book is filled with principles, any area of your life you want to commit Him, you locate the principles that govern it and put them to work.

A vital principle for committing God to any area of your life is by entering into a covenant with Him. The covenant, on the other hand, is not a big issue that you should fast and pray to be able to carry out. For example, with a covenant of paying your tithes regularly, you can commit Him to a continuous flow of His blessing.

More so, a commitment to prompt obedience can commit Him to blessing you promptly. This we saw in Abraham's life when God told him to circumcise his house which he did the same day (Gen 17) and when he was to sacrifice his only son (Gen 22). All these made God swore to bless and make him a blessing.

REFLECTION FOR TODAY:
Entering into covenant with God commits all of God to you.

ACTION:
Think of a way you can commit God to your life and talk to Him about it.

OUR DAILY REFLECTION: 13-01-2017

STAY POSITIVE
Text: Romans 8:28
By: Adeaga O. Favour

What you see and how you perceive things has a lot of influence on how you react to issues of life. What happens to you is not as important as how you respond to them. Although, the child of her old age died, for instance, but when asked what happened, the Shunamite woman said all was well (2Kg 4:8-37).

In life's situation, choosing to stay positive makes a whole lot of difference. Your ability to remain and confess positive in horrible situations is a way to exercise your faith in God's ability to turn the tide in your favour.

As long as Peter's focus was on Jesus, he kept walking on the water "But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink," Matt 14:30. Despite the hard time in the country, your choice of staying positive is one way to walk yourself into dominion.

REFLECTION FOR TODAY:
Every battle is first won or lost in the mind before it happens in the physical.

PRAY:
Lord, I receive grace to stay in charge over every challenge of life in Jesus' name.

OUR DAILY REFLECTION: 12-01-2017

YOU ARE NOT ORDINARY
Text: Psalm 82:6
By: Adeaga O. Favour

Kings don't beg for things to happen, their words are commands that produce results. They don't need people's approval before they do things, as their words go forth, forces come together to actualise the order. Why? They are people of authority and when they exercise it, no one can contest it.

From Eccl 8:4, the Scripture says "Where the word of a king is, there is power: and who may say unto him, What doest thou?" Anywhere a kings word is, power is available automatically. And it interest you to know that by redemption, you and me are kings. Rev 5:9-10 says "...and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood...And hast made us unto our God kings and priests...."

At the moment when you got saved, authority was given to you. Jn 1:12 says "But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name." The power of sonship puts you in charge of all things (Eph 2:1-6). You are not ordinary.

REFLECTION FOR TODAY:
Since you are a king, don't live as a slave.

PRAY:
I refuse to live low of my redemptive right in Christ in Jesus name.

AVOID VAIN WORDS
Text: Matthew 12:34-37
By: Adeaga O. Favour

If you know that you will give account of every word that comes out of your mouth, would you still say some of the things you say? Words are not to be joked with, everything we say, whether we mean them or not, are all taken note of.

Today's reading explains to us that "For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned," Matt 12:37. Think about these: How was the heaven and earth made? What medium did Esau use to trade his birthright? What brought about the death of the Amalekite who gave the news of Saul's death to David?

There is a correlation between the words of our mouth and the state of our life. Matt 15:18 says "those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart; and they defile the man." Watch your words and watch your life grow better and healthier (Matt 12:33).

REFLECTION FOR TODAY:
It is an error when you pray with your mouth and still issue wrong words with the same mouth (James 3:10)

PRAY:
Lord, I embrace the rest that is in You in Jesus' name.

A REST FOR YOUR SOUL
Text: Matthew 11:28-30
By: Adeaga O. Favour

At a time when there is darkness in the land, things seeming not to work and panic on how to sustain in the hard times, God's rest is ever sure for His children. Heb 4:9 assures that "There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God."

Little wonder Jesus said "Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest," Matt 11:28. An assuring and lasting rest comes from above and not abroad, and is never based on your job security, high connections or huge investments.

The rest of God grants you peace in the storm (Mark 4:37-38) and ensures your exemption from the scourges of the sun (Ps 91:7-10) so that while others are complaining, you are busy enjoying divine liftings (Job 22:29). Take cover in God's assuring rest.

REFLECTION FOR TODAY:
Only Jesus has the rest your soul needs.

PRAY:
Lord, I embrace the rest that is in You in Jesus' name.

LAY THEM AT THE ALTAR
Text: Genesis 22:1-3
By: Adeaga O. Favour

What can be too demanding for God to ask from you? It is so easy to talk about the 'dangerous' act of obedience that Abraham did but challenging to do what he did. The truth is to get the blessing anyone has, one must be willing to do what the person did.

There is a always a requirement from God to qualify for the blessing He has for us. Before we can qualify to receive from Him, we must be willing to release what is in our hands. Isaac needed to go for the blessings of Gen 22:17-18 to be established.

What needs to leave your hands to God's? What position, certificate, relationship, connection, business and career, and so on needs to leave your hands to get what God has for you? Anything that can come between you and God can come between you and your blessing.

REFLECTION FOR TODAY:
When God places a demand, it's not as though He needed it but because He wants to bless us.

PRAY:
Father, I consecrate all I have to You in Jesus' nname

OUR DAILY REFLECTION 07-01-2017

GIVE NO ROOM TO THE DEVIL
Text: Eph 4:26-27
By: Adeaga O. Favour

You cannot play with fire and expect not to be burned. Breaking the hedge and expecting God to keep you is giving room for the serpent to bite you. One of the things that affected Eve was her discussion with the devil in the garden (Gen 3:1-5).

When you know your weak point, you guide it jealously. For examples, if watching a sexually arousing movie will trigger your emotions, you don't have to watch it and if you don't have financial integrity, why accept to keep others' money for them.

From 1Pt 5:8, we are admonished to be watchful because the devil is roaming about seeking for whom to devour. Never make your life accessible to him. A third party in your relationship can be dangerous. By all means, let not the devil have a space.

REFLECTION FOR TODAY:
The devil needs a loop hole to operate, be watchful always.

PRAY:
Father, every access point of the devil into my life, I block it in Jesus name.

WHY ARE YOU HERE?

A man without a vision is like a traveler without a hope of destination. Although, one thing is to have a vision and another is to achieve it. So, a vision is not yet considered a good one until it sees the light of fulfillment.

I have noticed that many people talk about everyone having a vision for life. Many books, seminars, articles and so on, have been written on this topic. Fine, it is good but the fact is every vision that will ever be achieved must be on the bedrock of a discovered purpose.

It is no gainsay that many keep setting goals but only few achieve theirs. The reason for those who do not achieve theirs, sometime, is not because they lack the power to do so but because the vision did not spring out of the reason for which they were created. Therefore, discovering purpose remains the springboard for the fulfillment of vision.

No man will ever go far in life if he cannot honestly proffer an answer to the question, “Why am I here?”

God is a God of purpose. That is why everything existing in the world today is meant to achieve a purpose- even you, just as every product in the market is designed to achieve certain purposes. I believe that the greatest tragedy that can ever befall a man in life is not death, nor the loss of a loved one but failure to discover one’s purpose on earth and fulfill destiny.

The difference between celebrities and non-entities is self discovery. Understand the fact that no success can be achieved until there is a discovery of purpose. Your success is not a function of your education background but grossly dependent on the discovery of why you are created. How far you will go in life is proportional to how much of yourself you know. Moreover, a life that is not driven by purpose will end up in tragedy while a purpose-driven life will end up in dignity and become a celebrity.

So, if I may ask you again, why are you here? It is when you have discovered the answer to this question that you can now write your vision in relation to the answer you have, as this is the key that I know can open the door to the fulfillment of your vision.

WHAT IS YOUR SEED?

True success is not about the accumulation of material things but the discovery and fulfillment of the reason for one’s existence. In fact, a man is not considered to have lived a fulfilled life, if after he had departed from this world, could not be remembered for his impact on his generation. More so, life cannot be meaningful until there is a discovery of why you are here, because the discovery of your reason for existence – purpose, is the foundation of your success in life.

There are two sets of people, I believe – those who struggle to make headway in life and those who get things done easily. Now, the difference between the duo is not chance or luck but life based on purpose. Have you seen a man who lives his life based on a discovered purpose? Things will work out for such easily than a man without the knowledge of his reason for existence. The only thing that can make life not to be a bed of roses is when you are yet to discover the ‘why’ you are.

Purpose is like a seed. A farmer cannot have a successful planting if he would not sit and first determine the kind of seed to plant. It is the identification of the seed he wants to plant, that will pave the way to other questions he must answer before he goes ahead to plant. The same principle applies to you. Your seed is your purpose and until you discover it, you cannot have a successful planting.

The number of things you have tried is not what makes you a legend but what you have done successfully. Great icons are not men that are known for many things but one thing they do excellently. You cannot be celebrated until you stick yourself to that one thing you have discovered about yourself. Remember that you can be talented in many ways, but the fact is all these are meant to contribute to the fulfillment of your purpose.

Discover your seed and move to the world of highflyers

Theme: GOD'S EXEMPTION PLAN
Text: Psalm 105:13-15
By: Adeaga O. Favour

God's exemption plan for every of His children is still as strong today as ever before. At a time when the earth was corrupt and God was planning to destroy everything He have made, Gen 6:8 says Noah found grace before God.

But how? Verse 9 says "Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God." Noah's righteousness sought him out for God's grace but his obedience delivered him from destruction (Gen 6:22).

God's rescue plan is unlocked in obedience to His commands. For example, He told the Israelites if they obeyed Him, sicknesses and diseases would be far from them (Exo 15:26). Also, devourer would be far from you (Mal 3:10) and you'll be divinely directed (Pro 3:5-6) when you obey, among other things.

REFLECTION FOR TODAY:
Obeying God's instructions immunes you to destructions.

PRAY:
I receive, Father, the grace to obey always in Jesus' name.

IS GOD REALLY THERE?

Sometime, when we are on a journey that seems to be too rough than expected or taking a longer time than we calculated, we are tempted to conclude that we either have missed our way or God is not in such a journey with us.

The Psalmist said "Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me," Ps 23:4a. The smoothness or roughness of a road is not a determining factor as to whether God is with us or not.

As part of His method of training His children on dependence on Him, God sometime takes us through rough and long paths. Although, there was a shorter path to the Promised Land, yet it pleased God to take the Israelis through the wilderness to train them (Deut 8:1-3). Remember, no matter what or where you go through, God's assuring presence with you is all you need

BE SCRIPTURALLY GUIDED
Text: Psalm 19:7-9
By: Adeaga O. Favour

God's word is God's verdict over any situation. It is as pure and perfect as God (Ps 19:7-9) and remains forever settled (Ps 119:89), so there can never be any form of contamination or amendment in it. The word is exalted above all of God's names.

God's word expresses His will at all times so that when you lay hold on it, you have laid hold on the will of God. You may be deceived by voices or men but there is no deception in God's word, it is explicitly inspired and divinely interpreted by God's Spirit.

From Psalm 119:105, Scripture says "Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path." The word prevents you from stumbling and making mistakes. Before anything is accepted as God's, if it negates what God's word is, reject it without any further consideration.

REFLECTION FOR TODAY:
God's word is God's verdict over any situation.

PRAY:
Father, as from today, I walk in the light of Your word in Jesus' name.

THE FATHER'S BLESSING
Text: Genesis 27:1-4
By: Adeaga O. Favour

Some blessings do not just come cheaply or on a platter of gold, there are specific things that must be done to qualify for them. From today's text, we discovered that when Isaac wanted to bless his son, he told him to "make me savoury meat, such as I love, and bring it to me, that I may eat; that my soul may bless thee before I die," Gen 27:4

It was not as though the father could not bless without getting the gift from his son but because the blessing needed to come from his innermost being (soul), something needed to provoke it. A price had to be paid to unleash the blessing.

Also from the Scripture, you discover that after a major sacrifice had been accepted by God the Father, a blessing follows (Gen 8:20-9:1, Gen 22:16-18). So, if you don't have an earthly father, you can still connect and contact from your spiritual father.

REFLECTION FOR TODAY:
Giving to your father is a way to keep the blessing flowing.

ACTION:
Prepare a gift and present to your father.

Great morning!!!

START EARLY

Nothing equates knowing what to do early and committing to doing them on time. God plans for every individual even before such child is sent to the world. His purpose for each child determines how the child would look like so that an early discovery of this can help the child go far.

Early starters are early risers. When you know what to do early enough, you can beat around the bush or fight shadows neither can you waste away. 2 Chro 34:1 tells us Josiah began his reign at age eight. Imagine having an eight year old president over a country.

It's day three in 2017, what plans have you got? Have you even begun executing the plans you have? Beginning early gives you enough time for proper execution of your plan(s). Rise up and set out with a definite plan(s) and make this year the best so far for yourself.

This year shall be for you the best year so far in Jesus' name!

Go and succeed.

WHAT'S SPECIAL

One of the reasons God created time for is to help us organize our lives and key into His moves for our lives. The time, on the other hand, have further been broken down to years, months, weeks, days, hours, minutes and seconds (and milliseconds as the case may be).

Every new day or month means different thing to different people. For example, to someone going through a challenge, it may mean “Don’t give up, God’s not through with you.” To another, it may mean OPPORTUNITY TO PURSUE YOUR GOAL OR DREAM, while to another, it may mean FRESH START and yet, it may mean REINFORCEMENT to another. But whatever it may be, there is always something in each day for everyone who can see beyond their present.

No day is the same as the other, every day is unique in itself. This is because God does not make duplicate, whatever He does is usually in its original state. What does this day mean to you? Go ahead and give it expression.

Stay in charge and remember, if God has not given up on you, you don’t have to give up on yourself.
