RUNNING TO WIN

Text: 1 Cor 9:24-27

INTRODUCTION: Everyone is engaged in a race, although, to different destinations. The race of life is not just be run for fun but to win the prize. As each prize differs, we must pay the price to get the best. As we trust the Holy Spirit for His grace, may we run to glory in Jesus’ name.

1. WHY DO WE NEED TO RUN TO WIN?

c) It is the condition to get the prize

a) Deny yourselves of pleasures that can weigh you down Heb 12:1
b) Run with purpose 1Cor 9:26.
c) Follow the rules 2Tim 2:4, Josh 1:8
d) Be willing to pay the price 1Cor 9:25,27 2Tim 2:3.
e) Trust the Holy Spirit to help you 1Sam 2:9, Zec 4:6.

CONCLUSION: Despite the corruption in the system, like Daniel, Joseph, the three Hebrew men and the apostles, we must be determined to run our race so we can get the crown that God has for us at the end.
